That's a wrap!

For 2024 Conferences, at least!

We just got back from the Bisnow Pacific Northwest Multifamily Annual Conference in Seattle, Washington, and are still following up with all of the great connections and conversations we had at that event.

It feels a bit like the gloves have come off, and consensus is growing that the biggest immediate barriers to housing production are in the regulatory and policy domains.

My contribution from the stage was to say that while the problem is complex, and the issues may seem daunting, let's not get complacent.

As they say in my kids' school: many hands make light work.

Or as Laozi said, "A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step."

Each of us can contribute in ways to help make the process of design and development move faster and better achieve mutually beneficial goals.

This is what UrbanForm was built to do.

To help people build buildings, navigate our zoning regulations, and figure out ways to best contribute to our built environment.

We were very happy to chat with existing customers, meet potential new ones, and just talk with folks about the great City of Seattle and the great work being done there.

Shared the stage on a panel about housing affordability with Mindy Black at Bellwether HousingElizabeth Rinehart at Walsh Construction Co.Dr. Ernesto Fonseca of Hacienda Community Development Corp. (CDC), and Andrew Lofton of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development

Let's get to it :)
